Jennifer Powell, MS, RN, CHPN

Nurse Manager, On Call Team

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2017 and received her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management in 2022, both from Western Governors University. Jennifer has spent the past 24 years working locally in WNY as a nurse. She has a vast range of clinical skills, including emergency, critical care, acute care, homecare, and corporate clinical education. Jennifer joined Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo in 2008, where she has worked as an On-Call nurse, admissions coordinator, and clinical relations specialist, prior to her current role as Nurse Manager, co-managing the On-Call team. Jennifer is currently attending Capella University,  pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Jennifer is the current President of the Professional Nurses Association of Western NY and President Elect of the NY Organization for Nursing Leaders Western region. Jennifer is also a committee member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s ethics advisory council and was also named Western Governors University’s 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award as well as PNAWNY Nurse of Distinction in Education 2021 Nominee.
