Joseph Riedy, MD

Staff Physician

Dr. Riedy grew up in West Seneca, NY. After completing his undergraduate studies in Biology at Canisius College, he pursued a medical degree at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at University at Buffalo’s Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program. Dr. Riedy worked as a hospitalist for six years before joining Landmark Health, where he led interdisciplinary teams who proved in-home care for high-risk medical patients. He served as the Medical Director for his final two years at Landmark, prior to joining Hospice and Palliative Care Buffalo in August of 2024.

Dr. Riedy’s strengths in medicine include his ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, helping them understand their illness and treatment options. He has a strong passion for patient-centered care, focusing on developing treatment plans that align with patients’ goals of care.

Dr. Riedy currently resides in Pendleton, NY, with his wife and four children. His diverse professional background, commitment to clear communication, and dedication to compassionate care reflect his deep commitment to both his patients and the community of Western New York.
